American Cockroach

Cockroaches are well-known for their risks to public health. The American species is perhaps the most well recognized. Roaches are scavengers, and therefore are seen where there is an abundance of food and food trash. They are most common in restaurants and apartment-style housing where infestations can move from one unit or building to another. Infestations can also be transported in packaging and personal belongings.
